There is currently a shortage of engineers with experience in the nuclear industry in the UK, and this issue is only going to get worse with the start of the UK Nuclear renaissance. This shortage will drive projects to be resourced either using the same experienced engineers spread thinly covering several lead roles or through utilising inexperienced personnel in key positions. Both approaches come with inherent risks.
